Hello Beautiful People, as the Dave Koz and friends summer tour is almost done I want say what a fun time this tour has been. Nate Kearney Jr. (bass) as been a fine new addition to the band and his playing and humor are both awesome and fun. BeBe Winans is incredible and vocalist Margaret Bell is a star in her own right.Anyway, look for me elsewhere for September, October and early November with various artists including my own Boneshakers and Randy Jacobs Dynamite, Plus Soul 7, Richard Elliot and Brian Simpson (and a few more to come). Starting late November I will once again join the Dave Koz Xmas Tour for a month and then in January 2013 I will be on the Smooth Jazz Cruise for two weeks.Check my Showdates page for updates.I will see you all somewhere.

All my best Randy

MWE3 Reviews The Return Of Randy Dynamite
Hey Randy fans, here is a great review and interview for "The Return Of Randy Dynamite" CD. RJ talks with MWE3.com's Robert Silverstein about getting there, his gear, musicians and the making of his coolest CD to date.

"For All Your Funky Needs"
The Return Of Randy Dynamite is now!

With the release of the self-produced "The Return of Randy Dynamite", Randy looks to move forward in the instrumental music arena."I have always done instrumental songs as part of the Boneshakers tapestry and this move seemed a natural progression." says Jacobs. On his last CD "From Me To You" (2005) co-produced with Jon Gilutin, the two were about making a contemporary jazz/funk CD but, with this release Randy wanted to go back to "a time when he was more about inspiration and less about genre's. I have never been more happy with a project. Playing the music straight up with no loops and minimal overdubs makes it so much more real for me, looking into the eyes of my band mates and communicating as opposed to adding one part at a time is so much more inspiring. The band comprises Gregg Bisonnette (drums), JV Collier (bass), Jon Gilutin (keys), Lenny Castro (percussion) plus, Teddy Zig Zag on harmonica, Rick Braun on trumpet, saxmen Shilts, Bill Bergman and Jimmy Roberts.
